John B. Gordon Autograph Letter Signed A two-page 10" x 8" Autograph Letter Signed (ALS) by Gordon as the governor of Georgia on printed Executive Department letterhead. Dated April 19, 1887, the letter is to a Colonel C. C. Jones whom the ex-Confederate general asks to forgive him for declining an invitation because he had received and accepted an invitation from Major Cummings. The mat in the frame is an even gray, not checkered as the electronic image might imply. There are a couple of very minor scratches on the plexiglass. The item has already been priced accordingly.
