"Dear Sir, I hear from Mr. Lockwood that he cannot act
on the Committee. He has gone to the Lakes for his health.
So Dr. Gilman will be the Chairman. I had arranged to go to
Rockland Monday P.M. to see our friend there for a last appeal.
Could you not come here Thursday of this week now that Mr.
Lockwood cannot come? Please let me know tomorrow if you can
come. Yours Truly J. L. Chamberlain"
